Turkish cuisine is a fantastic option for satisfying a hunger (and we’re not just talking a cheeky kebab when you’re on a night out on the razz either). Suitable for all budgets and great for large groups and fun celebrations, here are a few fantastic Turkish Restaurants in Auckland.

Little Turkish Cafe

A recent Metro Magazine Winner for ‘Best Kebabs’ this little gem in K-Road offers delicious Turkish Food. Specialising in donner kebabs but offering a large selection of special dishes including pizza and burgers, they are open until the wee small hours of the morning to suit your needs. Groups should make a booking and there’s also a belly dancer on standby.

Fatimas

This delicious little joint is perfect for sensationally mouth watering Middle Eastern and Turkish takeaways. Located in Ponsonby and Takapuna, not only is Fatima’s reasonably priced, but it also offers a very large menu with fantastic kids options, gluten free options, salads and yummy extras (try their addictive potato koftas).

Turkish Cafe

There are two Turkish Cafes in Auckland – Ponsonby Road, and in Newmarket across the road from Event Cinemas. Great for groups they serve good value for money cuisine ranging from Turkish to Mediterranean and Middle Eastern flavour. They can also organise a belly dancer if required. Open for lunch and dinner seven days a week.

Troy Restaurant

Perfect for large groups, celebrations and team outings, Troy Restaurant offer long tabled seating in the heart of Ponsonby Road, near Anglesea Street. A huge menu offering Turkish, New Zealand and Italian inspired cuisine, this lively restaurant is well priced and offers a belly dancer later in the evening.

Delight Cafe

If you’re over on Waiheke, make sure you pop into Delight in Oneroa for a different Turkish experience. Amazing views to sit and gaze at while you enjoy a selection of Moorish and Greek influenced options during lunch or dinner and their breakfast menu is perfect for watching the sun come up.
