  Ponsonby Reprieve

  The Whiskey Bar in Ponsonby is where I go if I need a bit of a reprieve from the busier bars (jeepers that makes me sound old) along the Ponsonby strip.

  The good thing about Whiskey is that you can generally get a seat with your friends to rest those aching feet after cutting multiple shapes on the d floor .

  The music is good and drink options a plenty. The only thing I would say and this is probably just a one off thing but every voda and soda I bought tasted like it had been tainted with Whiskey??

  Anyway it's a good place to loose 3 or 4 or even 5 hours of your night.

  A tipple at Whiskey

  My friend and I decided to visit Whiskey, as it had been a while.

  As you walk through the curtained entrance you enter a dark environment which is almost like another space and time. But it's so hip that it's cool. Whiskey is a small bar with a cosy lounge type seating, and lots of people sitting cool as cucumber at the bar. The music was classic rock from The Stones to Zeplin, which added to the dark and hip atmosphere.

  The staff seemed a little bored, and preoccupied with texting, but full marks for being quick on the mark for service.
