  The return

  Returned to The Flying Moa last week as a last minute decision for a drink and catchup. It was really busy for a Wednesday night. All the dinner tables were full and the bar area was pretty pumping too (didn't seem like work do's were taking over or anything either). After a while we got a little hungry so decided to quickly nab the free table which became available. Was impressed by the evening menu - large portions at really affordable prices and slightly beyond the regular pub grub which I was expecting. In all in not too shabby and still good for a local haunt.

  Good local

  Met a friend for a drink Sunday afternoon. Relatively quiet, which was nice opportunity for a natter (and not a shout), but does get busy and quite popular during the end of the week too.

  They play sports on the big screens (which can be slightly annoying if you are with a sports obsessed friend, but just make sure they have their back to the telly and all will be fine). Pool table if you get bored, and great outdoor area too. A little disappointed by the chicken salad, but the vibe is nicer than the Cock N Bull if you're looking for a new local haunt.
