Auckland is home to some of the country's best markets, each with their own individual flavour. We've singled out some that we love to visit, but we'd love your feedback too…
La Cigale Farmers Market
Such a runaway success that they now open three days a week with a huge variety of stall holders, the French style Farmers Market held in the carpark of the La Cigale store in St George's Bay Road attracts visitors from far and wide with good reason!
Wednesday 12:30 pm - 6:00 pm, Saturday 8:00 am - 1:00 pm, Sunday 9:00 am - 2:00 pm.
Otara Flea Market
Situated smack bang in the middle of one of Auckland's most colourful and multicultural areas, the Otara Markets in Newbury Street make for a great day out and a chance to sample some of the city's most delicious ethnic cuisine.
Saturdays 6:00 am - 12:00 pm
Matakana Farmers Market
Although often thought to be pricier than many of the other farmers markets in the Auckland area, the Farmers Market at Matakana Village has a great, bustling atmosphere as well as stalls selling delicious homemade goods and produce from the surrounding area.
Saturdays 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
Victoria Park Market
A favourite with tourists for its selection of souvenirs and close proximity to the city, Victoria Park Market is also a great spot for unique arts and crafts for every member of the family.
Open seven days 9:00 am - 6:00 pm
Franklin Country Farmers Market
Held weekly in Pukekohe Town Square, the Franklin Country Farmers Market showcase fresh produce from around the area. We love their allergy-free breads and French-style crepes, which are well worth the drive alone!
Saturday 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
Avondale Market
A true local market, the weekly markets in the grounds of the Avondale Racecourse in Ash Street offer fresh produce, bric a brac, vintage clothing and pretty much everything in between.
Sundays 6:00 am - 12:00 pm
Grey Lynn Market
The Grey Lynn Farmers’ Market is a community owned and operated food-only market which runs from each Sunday, except the last Sunday of the month at the Grey Lynn Community Centre in Richmond Road. Great for a browse while you sip a coffee.
Sundays 8:00am - 12:00pm
