Seldom has a burger van at the side of the road created such a stir and become such an iconic eatery as the White Lady has in Auckland City. You hear the words burger and Auckland in the same sentence and you automatically think of this place.
Situated on Commerce St, The White Lady has been satisfying the hunger of Aucklanders for over 60 years now. Opening at around 7pm and not closing until 4am, the majority of it’s custom comes in the form of late night revellers… also known as boozy pub and club goers! But that doesn’t mean that The White Lady is only good for some post-pub grub and should be compared to a dodgy kebab on the way home from a night out. Oh no, ask anyone that’s been there and they’ll tell you it’s so much more.
You’ll sit on a crate at the side of the road and the burgers might cost you a little more but they’re huge! And believe us, they are so worth it! If you can’t handle the mighty White Lady Burger, fear not, there’s something for you too – try one their fully-filled toasted sandwiches instead!
Whatever you order, you won’t be disappointed – by the food or the atmosphere that surrounds this icon! So pull up a crate and tuck in!
