Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

Top places for your girly night!

The ‘girly night’ is an age old ritual that every female should partake in at least every month or two! The usual structure is to grab your best girlfriends, grab a bottle of your favourite tipple, get them all together in your house and get yourself dolled up.

Once you’ve got your glad-rags on it’s time to hit the town. But before you do anything else, you’ll need to get some grub in preparation for the night ahead! Our tip is to head down to Bonita on Ponsonby Road for some Spanish fun – the tapas is amazing and the Sangria is, well, lets just say it tastes like ‘more’!

Once you’ve successfully lined your stomach, it’s time for you and your girlies to hit Auckland City. Where you go depends on what kind of girlie night you’re on. If you’re up for some dancing, drinking and chatting to random strangers, then Danny Doolans in the Viaduct is the place for you.

If it’s a more refined night you’re after then we suggest Agents & Merchants where you can grab some decent wine and catch up on all the gossip without having to raise your voice ten decibles!

And if you’re slightly sitting on the fence and want somewhere in between, there’s no better place than Vulcan Lane. There are lots of bars to choose from, some with live music, most with good atmosphere and all with outdoor seating.
