  Good for hangovers with Dad

  Just came from lunch with dad at Villa. Gosh I feel like 10000% better. Had a late one at another place around the corner, which I'll review later.....but back to Villa...so this morning I woke up with the WORST hangover. The worst. Had the usual water and toast for brekkie at home, then noontime comes around and Dad says, "Yo, let's get lunch....". And seeing as Dad is visiting from the States, and is annoying me lots lately being all up in my space for a week now.....the good daughter guilt kicked in and there were no excuses to be made....I went. We took a wee walk down Hinemoa, from my studio....where I make gorgeous jewellery....but anyhow, back to the mission at hand. We arrive to Villa. Dad chooses the Portabella 'shrooms on toast and I make the unusually healthy choice and choose the Greek salad followed by the fruit tart. Tis spring and all. So then food comes and wow. Wow! Just looking at the healthy goodness that was my greek Salas made me feel better. I ended up sharing it with my dad and he put a bit of his mushrooms on toast on my plate. Good, tasty and cool service. The waitress was cool, wearing all black, blouse and skirt but topped it off with a tight beanie. Interesting look. I definitely couldn't have pulled that off.

  Ok, so Villa, yeah. On the pricey cafe side, but since dad was paying, who cares....delish, good for hangovers and the fruit tart was just the thing to finish setting me straight.
