  One of the best views in Auckland

  We had our very civilised work Christmas lunch here December 2008. It's a buffet, so a bit old skool with the queing to pile up your plate, but the view is the best part - right on Cheltenham beach where Rangitoto appears at arms length - you just wanna jump out the window and swim towards it. I've heard they do wedding receptions here and the wait list is very long. I can see why. Nice one.

  Valentines with a View

  We trotted along on a Sunday and had lunch. Bad choice.

  Horrible horrible plasticky-tasting food from a buffet, with a very expensive view.

  We definitely won't be going back, and if anyone I know gets married there I may have to take a lunchbox with a few sammies to get me through.
