The sun doesn't always shine at De Fontein
Returned over the Summer Holiday with an International visitor and was disappointed. Poor service, chipped glasses, cold chips and rude staff. Such a shame.

A taste of Europe
On the corner in the old McDonald’s building in Mission Bay is De Fontein. It's split into two parts - a downstairs bar and an upstairs bar come bistro. There is a traditionally large European wine and beer list to peruse (but we were drinking gin and bourbon which was just as fun). Great frittes and mussels and neat little outdoor balcony which is perfect on warmer days for people watching.

Good but not Great
First things first, the beer list is fantastic and sitting on the balcony doing people watching is fantastic on a summers day....However in winter its not that great, why? Well the inside needs a decent makeover and as its a European style bar they should have more comfortable areas to relax and enjoy the plethora of different beers.
